When I arrived in Paris at the hotel it was early so I started walking and taking pictures. Some shots maybe great but there are ones that just document the trip - sun in the wrong place etc....
On the site of the Hotel de Chalabre, the Augustinian Sisters, between 1836 and 1840, built a hospice for the elderly, including a clinic and boarding school for poor children. The buildings designed by Louis-Philippe and architect Antoine Barge has retained its original composition and has a beautiful park on the grounds. In the centre of the entrance courtyard, the chapel of the Sacred Heart of Mary stands in front porch overlooking the street.
In 1984, part of the premises was assigned to a seminar under the name House of St. Augustine, the hospice was converted into a hospital.
