- As most people know I love lighthouses so once I knew there was one in Split I walked and ran to get as close I as could before we had to leave this city.
- Split lighthouse at the entrance of the city harbour, was built in 1888. It consists of an octagonal metal tower and a ground floor building. In the past there was a building for lightkeepers which was demolished during the reconstruction of the breakwater. The lighthouse is automated and included into remote control system.
