- Salon de Mars is one of the rooms that make up the King's Grand Apartment. Initially, the Salon de Mars was the Guards Room. Later it became a Games Room with several tables laid out for the guests to play cards and other types of games. Around 1685, King Louis transformed it into a music room in which musical instruments were played and dances were performed.
