This is at low tide on the shore of the Bay of Fundy, the bay has the highest tides in the world.
Twice each day, 160 billion tonnes of seawater flow in and out of the Bay of Fundy — more than the combined flow of all the world’s freshwater rivers ! Tides can reach a peak of around 16 m (50′) — the height of a 5-storey building in parts of the bay.
