- Church of St. Martin was one of the first little churches in Diocletian's Palace, it was built in the 5th-6th century in the sentrie's walkway above the Golden Gate.
- The 5th century Chapel of St. Martin, the patron saint of soldiers. This miniscule chapel measuring just 5 meters (16.4 feet) in width is one of the earliest Christian chapels anywhere and was built for the troops who guarded the gate.
