- The Cabinet of Albania, also known as Council of Ministers is the executive branch of Albania. The Chairman of the Council (Prime Minister) is appointed by the President; ministers are nominated by the President on the basis of the Prime Minister's recommendation. The People's Assembly must give final approval of the composition of the Council. The Council is responsible for carrying out both foreign and domestic policies. It directs and controls the activities of the ministries and other state organs.
- Another creation of the former dictator's daughter and son-in-law is the square Congress Building, This former Communist Party elite hang-out was opened to the general public for the first time in 1991. Security still guards the former residence of Enver Hoxha .
