- A caryatid is a sculpted female figure serving as an architectural support taking the place of a column or a pillar supporting an entablature (moldings and bands which lie horizontally above columns) on her head.
- The Erechtheion is an ancient Greek temple on the north side of the Acropolis of Athens in Greece which was dedicated to both Athena and Poseidon.
