- The lighthouse is small replica of a "pepperpot" type.
- The original lighthouse was built here in 1875 by the Canadian Government on Fort Point, the red light was visible all around for eight miles.
LaHave Lighthouse served as an aid to navigation for vessels on Dublin Bay and the LaHave River from 1876 until it was demolished in 1954 and replaced by an unwatched light on a skeleton tower.
