- The Town Hall was built in 1515 in the Main square (Glavni trg). Italian masters performed a complete reconstruction between 1563 and 1565 transforming it into a Renaissance style building. Dating also from that time is the balcony (loggia), decorated with relief with an image of the towns coat-of-arms, surrounded by two lions and the year 1565 inscribed on it. The façade is enriched with pilasters.
- Adolf Hitler addressed local Germans from the building's main balcony, overlooking the square, during his brief 1941 visit to the city.
