- Ahirkapi Lighthouse was built in 1857 (station established 1755). The lighthouse has a focal plane of 36 m (118ft). It is a 26 m (85ft) round stone tower with lantern and gallery, attached to a one-story stone keeper's house. Lighthouse is painted white with one narrow black horizontal band.
- This lighthouse stands on the west side of the entrance to the Bosphorus from the Sea of Marmara. Sultan Osman III ordered a lighthouse built here in 1755 after witnessing the rescue of seamen from a wrecked galleon.
